4 - Empire Of The Sun (1987)
Empire Of The Sun is incredibly strong, from beginning to end. The way the story is brought to us is simply and beautiful. Christian Bale is in one of his best performances ever, even as a child. Spielber did a great job on rewrite one of the biggest wars from the perspective of a child.
5º - Forrest Gump (1994)
I don’t have much to say about Forrest Gump, because the story is so perfect and human you can’t discuss much about it. The main message is, it doesn’t matter how you are, you can do whatever you want in your life. I think that’s the most important thing we must know in our lives and the movie tells it perfectly. ”Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
- 6º - Gone With The Wind (1939)
Gone With The Wind is magnificent. The scenarios, the soundtrack, the costumes… Everything is so colossal in this movie you can’t take your eyes of it for one second. The characters are so striking you’ll probably remember them for a very long time. “After all… tomorrow is another day.”
- 7º - Scaface (1983)
You know a movie is fucking perfect when you can’t choose just a part of it to talk about. Everything in Scarface is built a way it becames a solid thing, so you can’t talk about something separately. But you certainly can talk about Al Pacino. It’s he’s best performance, in my opinion. A perfect gangster movie. “The world is yours”.
- 8º - Avatar (2009)
I am starting to think that James Cameron have an secret way to convert an beautiful story in an even more beautiful movie. Avatar is breathtaking since the beginning until the very end. The world he created seems so real that you almost believe in it. But ho doesn’t?
- 9º - Roman Holiday (1953)
This was the first movie of Audrey I’ve watched it made so impresses that I almost fell in love with her. She really deserved the Academy Award, she is lovely and strong as the princess who wants to enjoy life. Almost perfect.
- 10º - No Coutry For Old Men (2007)
When I first watched this one I didn’t like it very much. But with the time it grew in my mind as I re-watched it. I love the tense atmosphere, and Javier is a perfect psycho!
